Meet The Adderstone Foundation Committee
Adderstone Foundation is governed by a four-member Board of Trustees who meet regularly to discuss the activities and direction of the charity.
The Trustees are responsible for setting the Foundation’s aims and objectives, for ensuring the Foundation fulfils its objectives to deliver public benefit and to ensure good governance.
Ian BaggettAdderstone Foundation Chairman
Ian Baggett is Chairman of Adderstone Foundation. In his role as Adderstone Group Chairman, it was Ian’s decision to set up the Foundation in 2007. Since this time Ian has played an integral role in the running of the charity and is an active member of the Committee.
Ian is passionately committed to supporting the community and has a very hands on approach to many of the projects the Foundation is actively involved in.
Most notably, as a keen and capable tennis enthusiast, and having represented Team GB Over 40s, Ian has trained with and provided coaching support to the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club - a group very close to the hearts of Adderstone Foundation.
Nicola BaggettAdderstone Foundation Trustee
Nicola Baggett is an integral part of the Adderstone Foundation Board of Trustees, bringing with her a wealth of previous charity experience including acting as fundraiser for several smaller charities.
Nicola was formerly a primary school teacher and used her fundraising skills to support the school's PTS committee across a wide range of events.
She has also been an active supporter of the leading youth charity, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards which gives young people aged 14-24 the chance to develop skills for life and work, fulfil their potential and have a brighter future, having arranged and attended many events and trips.
Allison HarrisonAdderstone Foundation Trustee
Allison Harrison has been a member of the Adderstone Foundation Trustee Committee since its inception in 2007.
As Group Operations Director to the wider Adderstone Group, Allison is well-positioned to see how activities taking place throughout the Group can also support the Foundation and its aims.
Allison is passionate about Adderstone Foundation and the community support it is able to provide to a host of causes.
Having trained as a counsellor when her children were at school, Allison is equipped with the right empathetic qualities to carry out her role on the Trustee Board.
Bill Ainsworth OBEAdderstone Foundation Trustee
Bill Ainsworth is driving force behind the architects practice, Ainsworth Spark Associates.
His passion for the industry has seen him receive an OBE for his services to Architecture and become Vice-Chairman of the National Body of Royal Institute of British Architects.
He is also the past Hon. Librarian of the Royal Institute of British Architects Architectural Library and Drawings Collection which is kept at the Victoria and Albert Museum and regarded as one of the finest collections in the world.
Bill has worked alongside Adderstone Group for over 15 years and has become an integral part of the Foundation since its launch.
He became a Trustee of Adderstone Foundation during its inception in 2007, offering a wealth of advice to the Board having previously been founding Chairman for Lord's Taverners Northern Region, a charity caring for underprivileged and handicapped children through sport, particularly cricket, and is the founding Chairman of several arts and cultural bodies in the Northern Region.
