About Us And The Causes We Support
Adderstone Foundation supports and provides funds for important charities and causes. Our support is not limited to the North East, where possible we like to make an impact both at home and abroad.
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Adderstone Foundation focuses its efforts on funding projects, initiatives, events and programmes across four key areas.

Health
Supporting projects where the health and well-being of people is at the centre of the cause, whether this be physical, social or mental health.
We understand that the key to many patients' recovery is the vital help and support that many charities provide.
Without fundraising, they are unable to offer advice and guidance to those in need or their friends and family who are also affected by their condition.
Education
Through our links with schools and educational charities, Adderstone Foundation strives to be able to support educational charities, projects and programmes.
We endeavour to improve access to educational tools, equipment, methods and teaching for both children and adults.
Community
Adderstone Foundation welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in the community in which we are based and to benefit communities further afield.
Through a wide ranging mix of community projects the Foundation has been able to build up significant links and support networks with other charities and community groups.
Sport
Adderstone Foundation is a huge supporter in enabling access to quality sport, for adults and children.
We harness the power of sport to bring people together, to encourage networking, to tackle social exclusion and to create participation in a vast range of areas.
Adderstone Foundation has become a keen supporter of many thriving sporting clubs, enabling more people to be positively engaged in sport and our work in this area has enabled those that may not typically have access to certain sports, the opportunity to participate, grow confidence and improve fitness.

Case Study
Adderstone Foundation is the charity sponsor of the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club who play their matches at The Northumberland Club in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne. In two years' of sponsorship for the club, the team has more than trebled in size and now boasts two national champions to its name. Many of the club's members have openly stated the effect the sponsorship has had on their lives.
Rosie Pybus said: "As a visually impaired person, tennis has become such a huge part of my life. Although I've only been playing for a relatively short time I have already exceeded personal barriers, proving to friends and family that playing tennis is possible when you are visually impaired!
“There is nothing more exhilarating than the feeling of walking on to court with my guide dog, Cain, by my left side, my racket on my back and sound balls rattling away in my backpack.
“The tennis network in the North East has been welcoming, friendly and most of all, supportive, which makes it an honour to represent the North East nationally and hopefully soon internationally too. We thank Adderstone Foundation for making it happen."
